Life of a Loadmaster
At USA Jet, our Loadmasters are the backbone of our flight crews, ensuring the seamless handling and secure transportation of diverse cargo on every flight of our 121 aircraft.
Christian Leslie, a former Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps with an aviation background, brings a wealth of experience, particularly in flight line safety and quality inspection, to his role as a Loadmaster at USA Jet.
Applying the skills acquired during his military service, Christian serves as an extra set of keen eyes, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in everything from pre-flight checks to on-the-road inspections. Christian thrives in the dynamic world of air cargo, exemplified by his favorite shipment experience – coordinating the movement of Metallica’s band and road gear. Handling over 200 separate pieces, each meticulously weighed, sorted and strategically loaded according to a flight and balance plan created on the fly showcases the USA Jet crew’s adaptability and precision in action.
All our Loadmasters coordinate closely with flight ops and flight following, working hand in hand to meet the unique and precise needs of each mission. Operations acts as a direct liaison with customers, ensuring that crew queries are addressed immediately, fostering seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
